Carcassonne is a tile laying game for 2 to 5 players that takes about 35 to 45 minutes. Players build the countryside around a medieval French city one tile at a time, extending roads, cities, monasteries and fields. After placing a tile you may put one of your followers on a feature to claim it, and you score when that feature is completed. With only a few followers, choosing when to commit them is the key decision. It is easy to teach and works well for families and new players.
